Open Day Fun at Airquee Romania!

So it has been yet another very busy few weeks at Airquee, so busy in fact that even finding the time to write this blog has proved difficult to squeeze in!  We have been inundated with customers needing inflatables for their upcoming school holidays June and July. With all of the other orders already in our system it is all hands on to the pump both in UK and Romania; everyone is working so hard. 

Being Airquee, Europe’s largest manufacturer of inflatables we have held an Open Day at our AQ1 factory and all of our loyal team from both factories along with their friends and family were invited along to play on a huge variety of our inflatables and what an amazing time they had!  Balloons and snacks were given out and they enjoyed it so much that no one wanted to leave! The day was a resounding success as it is so rare for our amazing staff who spend hours and hours planning, stitching, testing and rolling up our inflatable creations rarely get to actually ‘enjoy’ them!  View these pictures to see for yourself:

We are booked up solid for the next couple of weeks for Testing and Repairs at Cwmbran however you can still call as we have a superb mobile network of Repairs and Testing Engineers so we could still try to help you.  It’s been a great week as when customers popped in to drop off inflatables for repairs they made use of viewing the inflatables in our show room and one customer had never seen an E-range unit in the ‘flesh’ and was blown away by the quality for the price so definitely worth popping down to sunny South Wales when you can.

Full Steam Ahead!

Here we are again, another Blog….news in Cwmbran , we are thinking about getting some sheep to eat the grass surrounding our building…currently, it is knee deep and the grass cutter has gone AWOL.. This is Airquee doing our bit to help Welsh Farming…just don’t shout MINT SAUCE…

Our other roof residents, the Seagull Family are dive-bombing us, the cars, deliveries again…the new baby gulls are obviously due any time soon…

News inside Airquee, Our factory is working at full capacity and productivity is at an all-time high. Even so, standard inflatables have a short turnaround of 4-5 weeks. Fantastic news for something special from Airquee.

Kris has now moved into the Office after many years running the Warehouse to become our 25^th (YES 25^th) Designer !!! He has years of experience understanding how inflatables work and he has taken this new role like a duck to water.

Our E-Range sales have gone through the roof….we are expecting more deliveries in coming weeks. Be patient more is coming…

Kerry, Oliver, Wayne and Carole are hard at it, selling loads of lovely inflatables all over the world. Wayne is getting lots of interest from France at the moment…Mais Oui and our Team on the Continent are also breaking records in Germany, Denmark and beyond.

Promotions, Visitors and a kind thought!

This week at Airquee there has been a well-deserved Promotion at HQ. We are delighted to announce that Clare our Accountant has been promoted to Cwmbran Office Manager.  Yaaaay! Well done Clare! Very much behind the scenes, Clare is hard at work dealing with all your lovely payments, invoices and now looks after the whole office, the Reception team and the Directors as well. Good luck Clare !!  We all love you !!!!

Several Visitors have been to see us in Cwmbran with their secret plans…Carole, Ollie Wayne and Kerry have been calling our lovely customers, taking more orders and generally keeping our factories stacked out with production. We also had visitors in the factories, a group of children from the  local schools. They had the chance to see the factory and to have a peek into the world of inflatables. They really enjoyed playing, proof of this is this beautiful drawing sent by a little princess the following day…

Not much else to report this week…the sun has been shining, the seagulls are beginning to build their nest above our Airquee front door which happens every year, we get dive-bombed when then chicks arrive…not long to wait now!!!! Actually there was a seagull spotted with a mouthful of nesting straw giving us the ‘evils’ as we arrived for work this week.. more news to follow soon….

It's May, Birthdays and Fish and Chips!

It’s May already…..Cwmbran HQ has been welcoming visitors from all over the Country this week.

We welcomed an important group of customers from a Leisure Centre Trust who wanted to try our lovely inflatables for lots of their Centres. They were real dog lovers and made such a fuss of Norman the Patterdale McIvor that he ended up giving our guests a tour and even decided to have a go on the inflatables as well….I think he should be on the Payroll…..I must speak to Phil about that one…it will at least pay for his treats.

Kerry, Ollie and Mark, then had a VIP visit us who is looking to spread the Airquee word over the Pond…all hush hush…

Not to be outdone, Wayne looked after a Welsh Council who are looking for lots of our bouncy castles and pool Inflatables for their venues…

Carole made an Official visit to Cwmbran this week, and in her honour, and to celebrate our amazing  Kris‘s 39^th Birthday as well, the Boss (Mark) treated the whole of Airquee Cwmbran to a humungous Fish and Chip lunch. The office stunk like a chippy all afternoon and everyone sat rubbing their full bellies, answering the phone with a mouthful of cod in curry sauce is a sight to behold. Dessert was the biggest Chocolate birthday cake in the world which meant Wayne got the carving knife out and sliced it like a Pro.

Damian, who makes sure you lovely customers get your orders on time, is getting married this week in Poland and we all wish him well. ‘Love really is in the air! Our colleagues in Romania had a bank holiday this week…workers day - while we were all stuffing our faces…….

The 2 factories are breaking all production records at the moment and they need to as our European orders are soaring !!

HEATWAVE, SHOWS AND GREENFINGERS!

What a week it has been with one of the largest shows of inflatables in Cambridgeshire.  Kerry joined up with Chris and they set up nearly 50 inflatables in barns!  Bouncy Castle Network’s Eddie and Aftab did a sterling job of marketing and filming ‘live’ videos on Facebook which caused a bit of a stir and we had a great turnout of visitors along with brilliant sunshine to boot!  Feedback was positive and we aim to do more of these.

Mark and Phil were in the ‘Big Smoke’ exhibiting at a Show and it seems they did well in making lots of new contacts as well as travelling in a cable car near the O2 to get some food whilst partaking in lots of top secret rendezvous with buyers in the capital.

Back in HQ Cwmbran Wayne nearly killed the Airquee reception plant...’was I supposed to water it?’ yes, you were!….anyway a nice drink later, a bit of TLC and the plant looked in better ‘nick’ ! Tut tut, these old people….

Kerry was in the office for a couple of days and was trying her hardest to get the Team into healthy eating by ‘juicing’ vegetables and fruit… no one was interested in her green sludge! Ha ha!  Still, whatever she puts in it seems to give her the energy to make the 3 hour drive home!

Ollie, Wayne and Carole are beavering away with enquiries from all over – They all have their skillset; Ollie is the Theme Park Guru and has become our international star this week. Getting orders from all over the place.. Denmark, Austria, Ireland, Barry island…..

Carole is on fine form, still selling those wonderful Pool Inflatables Airquee is so famous for and also looking after the Scottish customers.  When not killing plants Wayne is inundated with French enquiries and really getting to grips with their secret lingo…

Our Airquee Europe team of Jorn and Oscar have had a flying month, best ever sales in Germany we have ever had!!! Vunderbar!!  GOOOOOOOOOO AIRQUEE EUROPE!

Our superb teams at the factories in Romania are battling the rising temperatures to ensure that production runs smoothly whilst we are all frazzled…

Looks like the mini heatwave has passed as rain is once more again here in the UK, Wales loves a bit of rain!

Belgium Trade Show, New collaborators and new Theme Parks!

Another eventful week at Airquee.

The latest Airquee show in Belgium over last week was very well attended by Hirers from Belgium, France and Holland. Adam from our factory in Romania flew in to offer an extra pair of hands at the show and he bought the team in Romania some delicious Belgian chocolates as a treat. Yummy!

Mark met up with our clients and distributors in the area then spent a couple of days with our new European team based on the border of Holland and Germany of Oscar and Jorn (pronounced ‘Yawn’...yes really).  Everything is working out fabulously there and the business is coming in nicely. Mark forgot to bring back the duty free….and the Belgian chocs….oh dear….

Our wonderful team in Romania are finishing off a new Inflatable Theme Park for somewhere in the UK  as we speak…where?? Can’t say as it’s …top secret, plus we just won a whopping order in Poland too.

Ollie, our resident Airquee Inflatable Theme Park Guru has a fist full of new orders ready to drop and we are looking for a bumper Summer and beyond.

Our designers are bringing new ideas to life every month to keep Airquee at the head of the pack in terms of innovative design.  UK HQ at Cwmbran has received several visitors this week, all splashing out on new inflatables and let’s hope this continues as the sun begins to shine.

Wayne is improving his French now Solene has left… ‘ooh la la’… lots of French speaking clients on the phone….he loves it really.  Carole is knee deep in orders from all over the world including Wales!!  Kerry is beavering away in Nottingham getting sales and visiting clients.

Promotions, working hard and SHOWS !

The Easter season is well and truly behind us now. After a lovely 4 day Bank Holiday break, we are all back to work with a BANG! Well, maybe not a ‘bang’ as 4-day weeks do strange things to our ‘routine’…

Both factories in Romania are working flat out producing many inflatables and with 18 designers flat out creating new and innovative conceptions for our customers in the UK and beyond.

News ‘hot off the press; we have TWO factory promotions!!!.

Erika and Mariane are now both Joint-head of production at Airquee. Well done and Congratulations both are well deserved and we hope that this new layer of management will assist our continued growth.

Back in Brightly, the orders are pouring in again. Phew! What ‘posh’ problems we have…We are all gearing up for a mega summer and our current stock levels will be increasing in preparation for the last minute orders we will get before the season really kicks in.

Our European sales are taking off nicely with the addition of a dynamic Business Development Executive, Jorn Schaars based in the Netherlands. Welcome to Airquee!! and lots of sales to come!! Mark is over in Europe visiting some mega clients , attending Open Days and picking up a load of Belgian chocolate and duty free…. (we live in hope…)
