This is the last Blog of 2017.

Phew what a year it has been !! The busiest year in our History. So many new clients from all over the world, the development of a brand new European Sales Division to create new opportunities on the Continent, and  increased business from our many loyal UK and Ireland customers. Thank you all.

It all starts back with a BANG on 2^nd January and our UK/Ireland Trade Shows begin in earnest a couple of weeks later. Then we're going to INPAS on the 28th and 29th in Liverpool Exhibition Centre. Where we'll show you some great new products for 2018!

Everyone at Airquee, whether in the UK or at our factories in Romania would like to wish all our Clients, Distributors and Suppliers, old and new, a very Happy Christmas and an even more successful New Year.

Christmas Tree, Shutdown and SNOW!

Latest news….3 weeks to Christmas and counting. Our factories are working to full capacity and some…we have just had the busiest Quarter in Airquee history with orders pilling in for the New Year and beyond. Phil H has returned from his jollies in Romania after 3 weeks away from Cwmbran…we had to dust his desk because he was gone so long…... The day Phil left Romania it started snowing…funny that…news is they have 5cm already (that’s 2 inches in old money) and more to come. You got out just in time, I say Phil !!

We only have 1 and half weeks production time before the Christmas shutdown when our huge talented Romanian workforce have a well-earned rest. Shutdown is now 20^th December at our factories- the UK office is open until Friday 22^nd December for any last minute New Year orders. The Cwmbran Christmas Party is the night before- so be gentle with them if you call….sore heads and hangovers, I do expect…

The Cwmbran Office Christmas Tree is now up-. Wayne said the old battered Airquee Christmas Trees have seen better days (they have got to be 20 yrs old)  and need to be chucked out- it worked- Phil; went out and bought a brand new one !! As you can see from the picture Ollie is always adhering to health and safety rules. The flickering Christmas tree lights are now driving Wayne nuts!! You just can’t win !!! 

Mark is back from Romania- it was snowing hard there !! Mark nearly got eaten by a dog –the size of a bear- he said.  Yeah right…people have Bears as pets !!  The Office is still working hard on last minute orders for the new year and Sales are all enjoying a last minute flurry of activity.

Snow, Phil is free and we're preparing for Christmas!

It’s all go at our amazing factories in Romania as the orders are still flooding in and the Christmas break is literally just one month away! Phew! What a fantastic year it has been.

Phil has returned to the UK after three weeks in Romania – he has been very busy working with all of our Team improving processes and assisting with the building of a bespoke database and production system.

The factories now have super-fast Broadband, Phil being a geek says it is 400mbps and a whopping 1000 mbps between the factories which is faster than Phil’s average running speed!

One day during his trip the factories were without power as this can happen during the Winter months and then on another day there was a burst water main that meant there was no water in the building and Phil was reminded of his days as a Boy Scout… Too much information –  but you can figure it out!

SNOW has fallen  Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyy!!! Definitely looking to be a WHITE Christmas over there!

Wayne, one of our Super Sales Executives has been using up his Annual Leave and went off to Prague for a few days – He showed us some of the sights via his Facebook page however they are a bit ‘blurry’ unsure if he has enjoyed copious amounts of alcohol or he has the shakes from being  ‘old’ or withdrawing from alcohol….

Back in Cwmbran, Kerry was in the office this week livening things up by changing the Radio channel back to Radio X; rather loudly too.  Kerry and Sol escaped for an ‘executive lunch’ – oooerrrr Ladies What Lunch…

Ollie is in the festive spirit and absolutely chomping at the bit to put the office decorations up including the Christmas Tree but he just cannot convince the Humbugs!!!

Jade’s engagement ring is still blinding everyone with its sparkle and as Josh is on holiday she has been juggling wedding planning with holding the fort on the busy Repairs and Testing desk!  Well done Jade!!! 

IAPPA, Phil STUCK in Romania, and GREAT SALES!

Airquee has broken all sales records again this week….!!!! Congratulations to all members of our incredible Sales Team plus all those unsung heroes behind the scenes that all help us do great things including marketing, web designers, all the boys in repairs and testing, our terrific 3D CADS designers in Cwmbran Rob and Ryan, plus the rest of our talented team in Romania. Our amazing factories have surpassed all records and we would publically like to thank everyone including Adrian, Mariane, Erika and every member of their team of wonderful people who create the designs, print, cut, sew or weld them, test them, pack them and transport the Airquee inflatables we all love.

Our leader is in Florida at IAPPA, probably by the pool with a Pina Colada. We hear its 28C and cloudless skies—poor thing!! What a chore!?

Phil H is still in Romania, (has he moved there permanently?) working his magic on our brand new Accounting and Production system, plus tweaking (tech speak for –fiddling with..) our website to give real time information about stock and prices.. More info to follow – stick around…

The radio is now playing Christmas songs every day and we are all getting in the party mood. There was even talk this week from Claire, our accountant of putting up the office Christmas Tree…steady on Claire, it’s only November!!  Our very sad looking Christmas Tree has seen better days- its got to be 10 years old… Can we have a new one with shiny new balls please?????

Unexpected Visit, Phil H still in Romania and a lots of STOCK!

It’s been another busy week at Airquee. Phil H is still over in Romania at our 2 factories for a second week, doing a spot of Marathon running to pass the time in the evenings ( yes he loves running) and working on our new computer systems during the day !

 Julia, one of our senior staff in production had an unexpected surprise this week. 30 local children from a nearby school came to the Factories to see how a Bouncy Castle is made. She gave them a guided tour and talk about Airquee and I bet they all had a go on one as well !

Engagements, flights and the last fight!

Phil H is off to Romania again for 2 weeks. He just can’t keep away !!  Secret planning for the next batch of Shows in January 2018- INPAS, North and Southern Ireland and 2 BRAND NEW MYSTERY LOCATIONS-----more to follow..

We have been fortunate to have had some fantastic Sales in October for both the UK and Europe. We have never been busier!!

Mark had a great week in Holland and Belgium….and no he didn’t bring us any goodies- boo hoo!!! Just lots of orders!!

Big news in Cwmbran, we have had 2 Office Engagements !!!! Jade our lovely repairs and testing Advisor got engaged to her long term partner Jason, 10 days ago, and to top it all, Oliver got engaged to his childhood sweetheart Floss, over the weekend as well. Awwwwwwwwwwww…Love is definitely in the air!

Lady McIvor and Norman the office pooch paid us a quick visit this week and got a massive order for an indoor centre somewhere in the UK-  ITS TOP SECRET!! well done Ma’am ! Not to be left out, Carole and Wayne are both working on another couple of humungous orders for the New year as well.

Our top lads in the warehouse, Kris, Jack and Damien  have been working flat out with orders, repairs and testing brought in by the magic Duo of Josh and Jade!! 

Our factories in Romania are gearing up to the increased production ready for last minute orders before Christmas and products for the UK shows in January.  A big thanks to everyone in our design team, to all those involved in manufacture, from marketing to customer service, without their fantastic help, we wouldn’t be where we are today..  WELL DONE ROMANIA!!

The last Show of 2017 was outside Dublin. It was the best ever and we would all like to thank all our lovely Irish customers, north and south of the border for their support and their orders.  Storm Brian failed to show up...

Sol, our delightful and multi-lingual colleague made a great admission this week….she LOVES British Gravy granules and Jelly !! She must be the only French person that does !!  Sacre bleu !!
